Every club we work with has been visited in person by an EFA team member. We've seen the facilities, met the staff and inspected the living arrangements before we recommend a club to any family.

Arrangements do differ between clubs, and we'd rather set that out upfront than give you a one-size-fits-all answer:

Accommodation: Most players live at a residency alongside other players — some clubs run their own, others use a long-standing accommodation partner they've worked with for years. Either way, it's been inspected by us and arranged before your child flies.

Meals: Three meals a day are included as part of the residency.

Transport: Most clubs provide daily transport to and from training, either club transport or a public transport card. A few don't, and where that's the case we tell you before you select the club and your agent works out the arrangement with you.

Airport pickup: Arranged for every player, every trip. Your child is met on arrival and taken to the residency.

Your agent confirms exactly what each club provides before you make a final selection, so you know what you're committing to.

Day to day, your child has a dedicated support agent as their main point of contact overseas. They check in weekly, and both you and your child can reach them on WhatsApp whenever you need to.

We stay in regular contact with the club, pass on their evaluations, and act on anything that comes up. Your child won't be living alone — players share the residency with other trialists and club players.

If they need medical attention, clubs provide access to a physio for training knocks. For anything beyond over-the-counter medication there's a named contact at the club, and your support agent will organise care and keep you informed throughout. We ask every family to hold travel insurance covering medical treatment and sports injury, and your agent will tell you what to look for in a policy — that's the cover that matters if something significant happens.

And if something does come up — illness, injury, homesickness, a problem at the club — your support agent is the first call, and we work with the club and with you to sort it out. That's the part we can promise: you won't be dealing with it alone.

No. Most of the players we work with travel on an Australian passport. An Australian passport lets your child stay in Spain for up to 90 days without a visa, which is why most of our players travel in three-month windows. It matches a standard trial period and needs no paperwork beyond the club's invitation letter.

Staying longer than 90 days does require a visa or permit. Where that's the plan, your agent will talk you through the options. Usually a student visa, or a working holiday visa for players over 18 and we provide the club documentation your application needs. There are a few more hoops to jump through, but it's a well-worn path and we help you through it.

If your child does hold an EU passport, or may be eligible for one through a parent or grandparent, mention it to your agent early. It removes the time limit and widens what we can plan for.

If going overseas and not getting offered a contract or scholarship is seen as a failure, we're probably not the best agency for you. Not every player signs a contract or scholarship overseas, and that's okay.

Because the development they gain from training at a professional Spanish club for 3 months is game-changing, no matter where they play next.

When players return to Australia, we consistently see them:

• Move up leagues (NPL 2 to NPL 1, for example)
• Earn starting positions on their teams
• Get noticed by bigger or higher-level clubs
• Make representative sides (state or national teams)
• Dominate their age group in ways they couldn't before

It doesn't just open doors overseas, it makes them better players at home.

Whether they're 13 or 19, the exposure to professional training, high-level competition, and Spanish football culture accelerates their development in ways Australian training alone can't replicate.

A tour is a trip — you train, play a few games, come home. An academy is coaching in the same environment your child already plays in.

We represent players. We build a a tailored pathway, put your kid in front of professional clubs in Spain, and secure a genuine trial or development opportunity training with the club, living at its residency, assessed by its coaching staff, with a formal written evaluation at the end. And it doesn't finish there. If one club isn't the right fit we look at the next.

Yes. Most of our players travel on their own. Arrangements are made before they fly and they're met at the airport on arrival, but plenty of parents come too, and it's never a problem.

Dropping them off: Some parents fly over, settle their child in and head home after a few days. Others stay for the first week or two. Let your agent know early either way so accommodation can be sorted, as you can't stay at the club residency.

Staying for part of the trial: You're welcome to be in the city while your child is training. You can watch sessions, take them out on days off, and see the environment for yourself. The one thing we'd ask is that it works around the club's schedule rather than the other way round. Training and match commitments come first, and your child being treated like every other player at the club is the whole point of being there.

Travelling with other families: We often have several players heading over in the same window, and we're happy to put families in touch so children can fly together or parents can coordinate. Just ask your agent what the timing looks like.

Around 8% of players in our representation program are offered a contract or scholarship overseas. That's based on our own placement records and isn't a prediction for any individual player.

What every represented player is guaranteed is development or at least one trial offer with a partner club each year.

And the players who don't sign still come home having trained inside a professional Spanish club, which is where most of the value sits.

Three months is the standard length, and it's deliberate. Professional clubs need a full pre-season or a decent run of games to properly assess a player, not a week.

Your child trains with the club's squad on their normal schedule, under their coaching staff, alongside players who've come through a professional system. They live at the residency with other players.

Your agent presents club options based on your child's goals, age, position, experience and timeframe, along with a recommendation, and you make the final call together.
